Stop App Sync after Factory Reset?
I'm trying to work out an issue with apps bogging down my phone. I did my first system reset, and all the apps I downloadad before I did the reset seem to auto sync when the phone first starts up.
How do I keep this from happening?
I realize I can turn off the sync totally, but I like to sync things like GMail and Facebook. Just not my apps. I want to re download the ones I want by hand.
Thanks so much!

Have you tried deleting all the apps before doing a factory reset?

I didn't try that, but hindsight I realized that it only auto downloaded a few apps. Less then 6 of the ones I had. I got kinda bombarded out of the whole right after the reset, but then they just let up.
Don't have a solution for the few apps that did feel the need to auto sync, but everything is as normal. No more random app downloads...

Go into Settings / Privacy / Back up my settings and uncheck it, then reboot once before you wipe. That is what syncs your list of downloaded apps (and background to I believe) to where they automatically redownload in the event of a wipe.

I did this and the apps are still auto-downloading. And unlike the previous poster, I have about 200 apps trying to re-download themselves. This phone is a bloody nightmare.

After reset, when it asks for your gmail account info, skip it. This should keep your apps from syncing. You can add your account in settings later, and your apps shouldn't sync then either... Mine didn't.

When you get to the screen with the android on it you need to tap the 4 corners of the box he is in. Top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left. Then go in and manually enter your account.
