ANYONE **Verizon sending me a new Droid**

I have had the droid for about a month I love it!!! The past few days the touch screen has been blacking out on me. When I answer a call or try to do a touch prompt call, ..press 1 for English..ect.... then the auto flip (side to side) would not work. It would lock up.. I know with newer phones things happen however has anyone had this issue? We did a hard reset with verion and it seemed to fix some issues for the moment but I told them I would like a replacement. I paid 1 year pricing for the phone and do not want a phone that is acting up..

You'll most likely get a refurbish phone. Unless they have have none, then you might get a new one.

Mine did the same thing, locked up daily, and wasn't getting emails til hours later. I returned it and went back to the Blackberry . I'm gonna wait for the next batch of android phones. It was a fun 25 days but I couldn't deal with that for 2 years.

Good luck with the refurbished phone thingy. Personally I will not accept a refurbished phone. Had way to many issues between replacing my VZ Boulder three times and four times on the BB Storm 1.

I wont get a refurbished If they send me a refurbished then I will go to a store and get a new one, I wont deal with it. I paid good money for this, I called tech support. They are the ones sending me the new phone. I have my box and all,,, I will complain till I get a new phone...

My first was re-dialing family, sending weird txt messages to family...
Tech in store could not re-set. Have 2nd one and is working okay except daughter received 6 txt msgs this am from me that said NO CONTENT. Seem to think it has something to do with her signature (encoding...hope to find out. We have been working with Tech today.

so far (fingers crossed) mine has not done this.... since we reset mine it seems to do better but the touch screen blacks out when I get a call or make one. I love the phone Dot want to give it up.... But I do not want a bad phone. GOOD LUCK

My screen also blacks out while a call is in progress. Believe this is normal. Should come back to life when sensor detects phone has been taken away from your face.
