Still getting calls on inactivated Droid

Quick question, my brother switched from a Motorola Droid to a HTC incredible. He had Verizon switch the HTC to active and inactivated his Droid, but he still uses the Droid as a MP3 player and Clock with the Docking station. The problem is he still sometimes get's texts or phone calls on the Motorola Droid instead of the Incredible or as the other day they both rang ?
He has started turning the data off on the Motorla droid , but if he charges it or reboots he has to remember to turn data off.
Anyone have suggestions on how to keep data off that will survive a reboot ? any particular roms out there that would be better for just using wifi ?

He is still unsure why this is even happening, since the Droid isn't supposed to be active anymore.

When the Incredible was activated, was the Droid still turned on? That's my hunch what happened. I'd recommend turning off both phones, turn the Incredible back on, hit *228 and then Option 1 for a full activation. Then let the Incredible reboot and hopefully it will clear the Droid where it will not receive the phone calls again.

If it still happens, tech support will be happy to help you out.

Have you tries keeping the old phone on "airplane" mode? This will keep the radio (phone) off. You should still be able to use the Wi-Fi but not data.

It will turn the WiFi off if it is on, but you can manually turn it back on.
