Yea I think it may be a coverage thing. Do your own speedtest on your phone at home and see what results you get. Then go to near the Verizon store or a place with known good coverage and do a speedtest of your own again, to see if its a coverage problem.

If you get poor internet speeds in an area with good coverage then it is apps that are accessing the internet possibly that are cutting speed.
