    Root

I am still new with all this Android stuff. Can anyone tell me or direct me on how to install Root on my Android phone? I hope I got that right! Thank you for your time and support!

First you have to have a reason. My friend got a dx and rooted it with z4 and now I hate him.

Sent from my stunning rooted droid using tapatalk.

I do not know what phone you have and that can make a difference on the rooting process. However, here are a few links that will help:

What you need to know about rooting:

I urge you to read and reread. Make notes and if you have questions post them.
    Hope this is helpful.

I didn't know that asking "why" was a bad thing!

I note you have a Droid so here are some additional links.

Multiple phones - Root them, unroot them

Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version

Read both several times. Make sure you throughly understand then make you decision.

Thanks again for the info. It sounds like, if you root your phone wrong, your phone is basically no good! Again, thanks for your time.

Rooting can be dangerous; and it voids the warranty on your $400-$650 replacement cost device.

That is correct. The "official" term is "bricked" (like a paper weight). Thankfully, I do not believe that we have lost one yet.

It is not a difficult process but you must be careful.
