to come up it'll be very soon February 17th, 2010 I know I am getting this phone for sure it'll be worth the extra 29.99 a month for the data plan to me anyways and I know i'll be using it a lot thats for sure. I've been waiting very patiently for a phone like this since I first got a cellphone and it was my Motorola v325i and then I had the Moto W755 in Black Slate and My Grandmother put it through the wash! LOL so it was a good thing I kept my old V325i and they are all Motorola's and I will stick with them and they are the only phones I will buy. I wish there was a way I could get it 2 months early though, that would be very nice. I love everything about the droid and I know I would use it a lot thats for sure.

I wasnt elegable for an upgrade till May of 2010.
You should call them and make up an excuse for why you desperately need a new phone.

They actually sent me an offer for early upgrade. But calling them cant hurt.

I was just recently in your same shoes NE2 due up Feb 22nd. This is what I was able to get...

After two calls and trip to the store I was finally able to get a supervisor on the line. My argument was that I didn't want to waste my NE2 $50 (it resets if you upgrade early) but really wanted the phone now. I explained that giving it to me early was a good deal for them because they would get me into a more expensive data plan 2 months earlier and therefore make more money, assuming of course I wasn't going to upgrade early without a discount. After about 20min of arguing my point and the supervisor insisting that he could not move my NE2 up (he did state that they are allowed to move it up if it is within one month) he said he would meet me half way and give me a $25 instant discount. I took the deal because I really wanted the phone. So it was $175 before tax for me, would have been $150 in two months (asuming the same base price then).

Yeah I probably will try that and i'll try going to the local verizon store too and see if I might be able to that way. I think I have an idea of what to tell them because it is true that I noticed my old v325i is starting to have battery and sound issues like sometimes it won't have any sound and the other person says they get the call but it sounds like it was dumped in water or something.This one was not but my Moto W755 was and not by me but by my grandmother! LOL! I know that I will be setting all my emails for this hopefully they will work with it I have Hotmail, Yahoo, and even a Gmail but I have to find the password for it though.

I wouldn't bother with the store, don't think the reps there have as much power... if you do just as to speak to the manager right away.

i was also up for my new every 2 in may. and its a family share so i also get a 100$ credit. well they told me that i was ready for a 1 year early upgrade now. and that i couldnt have the new every 2 untill august. because of a messup they made when they replaced my first phone when it broke, they accidentaly replaced it as an upgrade not a bad phone replacement. so after all my arguing they moved the new every two to right now. so i ordered the droid online with the instant 100$ rebate and the 100$ credit so i got it for only 99$

I wonder since I see you can buy it from dell if I can but without a service plan and charge it to my dell preferred account do you think I could do that and how would I be able to do that? I think that would be real good cause all I'd have to do is add on the 29.99 data plan when I activate the phone and I wouldn't have to extend my contract either! What do you think?

cool I like that! I am gonna see if I can purchase it through my dell preferred account without a contract too and if that doesn't work I'll do it through dell with an upgrade!
