I'm needing to know how to do a factory reset on a x2. My friend locked herself out and doesn't remember gmail. We've tried to get to the "fastboot" but nothing shows up when we do the combination. Please help!!?

if you just want reset, wipe data in android recovery
reboot, press and hold volume down when you see, fastboot,
click volume down till android recovery
press volume up to select
when you see ! in triangle with android andy
press both volume buttons
scroll to wipe data with volume buttons
select with power
if that doesn't work, SBF

I've tried that and the fastboot is not showing on the screen. I'm not sure what else to do.
are you starting with phone off?
can you get to rsd support?

Won't move from the Motorola symbol when I do volume up.
And yes, the phone is off went starting.
Just realized it is an x not x2. I've gotten to screen with triangle with ! And Android by it but won't take me any further
