    how to factory reset

I'm needing to know how to do a factory reset on a x2. My friend locked herself out and doesn't remember gmail. We've tried to get to the "fastboot" but nothing shows up when we do the combination. Please help!!?

if you just want reset, wipe data in android recovery
reboot, press and hold volume down when you see, fastboot,
click volume down till android recovery
    press volume up to select
when you see ! in triangle with android andy
    press both volume buttons
scroll to wipe data with volume buttons
    select with power

    if that doesn't work, SBF

I've tried that and the fastboot is not showing on the screen. I'm not sure what else to do.
