Quick Launch question

To launch something i assigned, I touched the magnifying glass and the assigned letter, what am I doing wrong?

That is how mine works. Press magnifying glass until the haptic feedback hits then hit the letter and the assigned task should launch. Double check your quick launch assignment and, if that is right, you may appear to have a problem. Good luck.

Are you continuing to hold the magnifying glass while you press the letter? Sounds like the phone is reacting to what would occur if: (i) no letter was assigned; or (ii) the letter was pressed absent holding the magnifying glass.

Thank you. I now see the idea of holding the search button down. That's an adjustment for us BB users.

I will not use this feature and assume there are 3rd party apps

I haven't seen any 3rd party apps for keyboard of this type
