    Advanced Task Killer/ Battery Life

    thanks for all the tips, Im new to the forum and a new droid user... of course the Verizon ppl made it seem like Advanced Task Killer was a must and they installed it before I ever got it.. after reading this and other forums, it seems I need to uninstall ATK... correct?? my only question is, without ATK how do u close running programs? im use to BBs so dont rip me plz!

    The easiest way to uninstall this is download an app called "Titanium Backup"

    You can use but do not set it to auto kill in any kind of way, that's what's screws everything up. I use one but ONLY to close unresponsive apps. I'm one of the very few that doesn't install ATK on customer's phones. To exit apps, there are two situations to answer your question: if you're wanting to leave one app temporarily for another and want to pick up where you left off, the home key can be used. If you want to exit all together, use the back button.

    One step at a time, root isn't for everybody. The easiest way to uninstall an app (if its on one of your screens - usually is when a rep installs it) is to drag it to the trash can and hold it there until "drop to uninstall" comes up.
