Why Gingerbread??

Ok, I've been running Gingerbread for a while now, and honestly don't like it at all. I don't have my phone rooted, I just want the color scheme to be the same. That white was so much easier to read.

Also I was a blackberry user before and I loved the way you were able to change any misspelled words but it seems like it is harder to do that in gingerbread.

Also is there a way to make it so you don't have to double click the back button when you change from text messages with the suggestions on. I like having the suggestions on but its a pain to double click back.

Any help would be wonderful!
