pop3 email draft lost not gmail..

Hello,

I was working for around four hours on an email today using the stock email app in my Droid Pro when my battery went low and thw normal indication window came up.
i proceeded o plug my phone in and then my phone beeped and went back to the email account selection screen from my email i was composing. i proceeded to go to my POP account where i was emailing from and the green cross in the upper right corner nolonger had a one next to it a it had previously. i had saved the draft several times and returned to it. it just dissapered.

Now the technical side of me has to think it dint just dissapear. i checked all the places i could think for it.
It didnt get sent, its not in the trash and its not mysterously in my oher email accounts as a draft.

Please help..
