May Have Found Answer to my Battery Problem

I've had my Droid Pro a little over a month now, and the only thing I was dissatisfied with was the battery life. Saw the suggestion that I should delete multiple copies of apps. I did that. One thing I truly don't need is extra profiles. I don't need one for "Every Day" "Work" and "Weekend." I completely cleaned out the work and weekend profiles. There is now nothing in either of them. Today my phone has been off the charger for about 10 hours and still has a 70% charge. My phone spends most of the day on "Airplane Mode" because where I work doesn't have Verizon service, but it's never been 70% at the end of the day before. One day isn't a full test, but I'm very hopeful.

You do realize that you probably had better battery life since your phone is on airplane mode "for most of the day"?

Sounds like it was on airplane mode before the change too.

How do you delete a profile? I've gone into the 2 profiles I never used and deleted all widgets, but I can't find any way to completely delete the profile.

I asked the same question in a separate thread. No one seems to know, or perhaps it's not possible. I don't need to remove the profiles if getting rid of the stuff in them works, but they are unneeded and it would be nice to get rid of them. I guess some people do need them, though.

best thing to do is under the display settings:
1) turn off auto brightness, and set it to a steady medium or less brightness
2) also change animations from all to some

display is what accounts for most battery usage

What is wrong with you people? Buy an extended battery! My lasts all day and im running a live wallpaper in the background..trust me, the small bulk that it adds is well worth it

Happy for you. There's nothing wrong with me, thanks, I have no desire to have an extended battery or live wall paper. I'd like to get the most use possible out of the battery that came with the phone and I don't need some of the bells and whistles that have been sucking up batteries.
