    Turning off background data sync for ICS

    how do you turn this off so it doesnt push notifications?? i used this constantly with gingerbread by going to the settings/battery/ and unchecking the data enabled box...now when i turn off data enabled on ICS it turns off my 4G...soooo wtf

    call me crazy but i would go to accounts and sync to shut off sync. Just breaking your balls its in settings under accounts and sync.

    I think you are referring to turning off background data. Go to data usage, click the settings button.

    No that doesnt shut of background data. The best he can do is stop sync so he stops notificarions. Or shut data down all the way which i do to save battery you can get a widget to one button shut it down.
