It really feels like it has to be soon. I've been living vicariously through all your collective experiences with 246 and 247 leaks, and am eagerly waiting to upgrade my 905 rooted Bionic through that magical "software update available" notification on the phone. I don't know why, but I am indeed among the last people on this site waiting.
StarTac was awesome but the 2900 was even better on Cellular One

What browser do you prefer, and if you want please say why it kicks butt more than anything else??? Thank you for your input!
I'm a big fan of Chrome. I usually have about 20+ tabs open in Chrome on my desktop PC all the time, and with Chrome I can have them auto-synch and access those tabs from Chrome on my Bionic from anywhere at any time. Basically eliminates the need for apps like Chrome-to-Phone or Read It Later (now called Pocket) or emailing yourself links, etc. Bookmarks (PC and mobile) are also synched and backed up in the cloud. I also like the way Chrome implements tab-switching on the Android version. And it virtually never crashes.

Can you imagine if gas was $4 / gal back then. Everyone would have been walking.

I remember when gas was 25 cents during the great gasoline shortage in the 70's.

    Linux/Mac progress update:

    Menus are written and working
discover and transfer update zip is working
md5 hashing of update zip is working
    install flash is working
    recovery instructions are working
    root is working

    TODO:
    boot img creation
    reinstall flashing
    FXZ flashing
    Repair flashing

Basically at this rate I expect to have a fully function Linux/Mac HoB by this weekend that matches the windows functionality completely.
