Sure. And the likelihood is I can get you there before that. Most likely even in linux. I've had a couple max/linux people already. That's why I came up with the stuff in my FAQ about what to do. You basically moto-fastboot system, preinstall, webtop, and the boot img of the update you're going to and then reboot into recovery to install the update. That's all the HoB does. It's not rocket science. Or even all that difficult. That will work for downgrading, too. Let's say hypothetically 244 was OTA. Use that method to install 244. Done. The FXZ is worse case which I don't see happening.

Yeah, the camera will probably never be 100%functional until a JB kernel for the bionic is leaked or kexec builds get better, right?

Once it's fixed, a kexec native build....man that'd be hard to resist.

I believe the thread mentions they are working on a kernel driver for the kexec build. It's functional enough for what I do, though. And with Safestrap, you don't really need to use it as a primary OS, you can always go back to non-safe for daily use, and go back to safe (CM10) for playing around with JB.

    I see..
So if I recall correctly, I dont need to use HoB right now, because 246 was designed to be installed FROM 905. Its when youre going from say, 242 to 246 that you use HoB.

Even with the ICS kernel, even I am impressed with how well it performs. To put it in perspective, I wasn't really able to USE any of the ICS builds based on GB. The fact that JB is already running well on the ICS kernel proves that the OSes are much more closely related than GB is to ICS.

All the leaks are designed to go from 905. The second half of your statement is correct
