I honestly don't think the new Moto sees the Bionic as a waste of resources. If they do a unified build for the OMAP4 devices, porting it to the Bionic should be cake. It looks like they might actually be committed to the phones they released in 2011, LATE 2011 anyways. If JellyBean were a MAJOR update, i'd be in doubt too. It's not. And Mr. Soni seems to feel that the Bionic is still a viable device with life left in it. And to be honest, it's STILL the closest device out there to the Galaxy Nexus. JellyBean is optimized for the OMAP4 chipset.
exactly my point.. they said that they had a plan as well so...
Its just weird that motorola would come out and say Q4 and then give it to us in Q3 still? Dont get me wrong, i want it tomorrow, but it would make motorola look like they dont know what they are talking about with their timeline updates.
As an IT guy, I can say that servers have a habit of failing when you need them the most. Mr. Soni seems to be all about realistic release schedules, and a realistic release schedule includes a plan B in case something goes wrong. If they start pushing the update and it takes down their infrastructure, they MIGHT have to halt it. The Q4 plan allows for a margin of error.
