"Stick a Pin" on where and when you got the 5.9.905 update OTA

Just for fun, I've created a Google map for the 5.9.905 update. When you receive it OTA, just go to https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid...143,114.169922 and "stick a pin" with any information you want to divulge (Date and Time, generally). You don't need to put your exact address, just a Zip Code will do. To do this you search on your location and then click "Save to map" then you can edit that with your information.

As it builds you can see how random the update is.

Pretty cool idea, and I am very interested to see how it populates myself.

I am still on .886. I have not gotten a single ota update in a year+ of ownership. Is that normal?

How does Verizon sell phones at their own stores? Any phone they sell, can be found for 50% to 75% less on Amazon, or at Best Buy. Does Verizon operate their stores on a "there is a sucker born every minute" business model?
    Deep Thought #2
Is Verizon's customer service philosophy: frustrate, aggravate, and exasperate, these annoying interruptions to our day, will eventually go away?

Any guesses on when the OTA will officially begin rolling out?

If the survey came out today as planned, and there's no problems, I'd expect to see "I GOT .905!!! " treads by later in the week. Just guessing here, folks.

You'd have to go from .886 to .893 to .902 in order to get .905. It's possible to load them manually, if you can't get them OTA.

Have you gone to Menu>Settings>About Phone>Updates? If so, does it say that you're up to date or that the check for updates not available at this time? Are you rooted? Did you freeze your bloatware?

You're not alone, take a look at Update not available at this time.

Thanks for the link, missed it. I answered your Qs on that thread as it seams more relivent. As a side note, if I click on your map link on the first post, I get one of my own maps from my "My Maps"

I haven't gotten the update yet so I haven't entered. In theory...

    1) Search using your Zip Code
    2) Click "Save to map"
    3) Right Click on location to edit
    4) Enter date and time.

Take a look at https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msa=...914091d612f10f This is the 2009 OG Droid update.

No, that is not a normal situation. By the way, the most you could have owned the bionic is 9 months. Just saying.
    Your money, your choice.
