I was wondering ever since i found out that droids use an lcd screen would it be possible to put a plasma screen on a droid device instead of a lcd screen? An would the quality be any better?

It would be way worse on battery life so I doubt they would do it.

For TVs, the "average" Plasma set consumes 301 watts of power. The "average" LCD set consumes 101 watts (assuming LED backlight). So, we can assume that plasma generally uses around 3x the power that LCD does.
The basics of TV power - CNET Reviews
Since the screen uses a majority of the power on a typical device, I doubt anyone would put up with having to swap batteries multiple times a day or run it on charge constantly.
To add to what's been said... They also have an actual glass screen because plasma screen operate allot hotter then LCD... So it's make battery life worse... And the electronics would have a shorter life because of all the heat

Plasma screens cannot be made small enough for use in cell phones so its a moot point anyway.

Does anyone even really have plasma TVs anymore? That's the real question. The TV these days have LEDs and so do the phone screens!

Hatred is by far the ugliest trait any human can possess (think about it)
My wife and I have a plasma and would never go back to a LCD. FYI, LED backlit LCD's do nothing for motion blur. They only help color and contrast. Faster pixel response is needed for reduced motion blur and the LCD's just don't cut it for us.

Not to mention that plasma screens are pressure vessels that are extremely temperature sensitive -- two characteristics that seem incompatible with cell phones.
