I was wondering if there is an app or setting to make the text messenging page fancier. The factory setting is kinda drab looking.
This is a discussion on Dressing up messenging screen within the Motorola Droid Bionic forums, part of the Droid Bionic Forum category; I was wondering if there is an app or setting to make the text messenging page fancier. The factory setting is kinda drab looking....

Unfortunately, no. There are other apps that use themes like Handcent. However, the stock messaging app is stuck the way it is.

My gripe with GoSMS is that, for texts sent to multiple people via MMS, sometimes you couldn't tell who a reply was from. I uninstalled it and went back to the stock app.

Ok don't flame on me, but I really like Verizon messenger. It let's me select background colors and bubble background but is about as simple as stock. And it's the best one I've come across for sending mms. Photos attach in the blink of an eye and never fail to send.

I had a dream and the dream was a 43v3r rooted Bionic on a ROM!
For awhile I lived my dream, but then Motorola killed my dream with a locked bootloader.
I have hope the Google may get Motorola to change their mind, no one else seems to be able to get through to them.
Maybe it's time to help ourselves!

I wish all apps on Android were as customizable as Handcent...you can literally make it look like whatever you want.
+ 3 for Handcent. Lots of themes available and easy to customize.
