Droid Bionic Wont Root Using Petes Motorola Root Tools

Hello im having issues with the root process for the DROID bionic. Im running the latest version 2.3.4 and when ever I run the root process it goes through 3 steps. My DROID bionic makes it through the first two steps but fails on the 3rd. Can someone help me out please??

Dude Before I root can you tell me some things thats worth while. Like what makes the bionic better if i root?

Here's an old guide for the d1 but the concept is still the same. I like having complete control of my phone, flashing roms, changing the look and feel of my phone. What got me in to rooting back when I had the d1 was being able to install froyo before Verizon had actually released the OTA update for it. Also, you can backup and restore, overclock(haven't done this on the bionic yet), change boot animations. There's alot more that can be done, maybe others can chime in here too.

Can you Use WiFi-Tethering for the Bionic? Because ive heard they have patched it

I believe so but I've never tethered so I can't confirm this.
