I would honestly prefer the bionic, should all the connectivity issues get worked out with the next OTA. I'm sure I'm in the minority though...

Just went through this myself. Upgraded from the D1 to the D3 because I thought I needed the physical keyboard, returned it for the bionic but had major issues with data loss. This was my primary line so I couldn't afford interruption of svces so had to return it. Asked if i can go back to the D3 and they refused. Went to the director level with no luck. Ended up reactivating my D1 and lost my upgrade so beware... if I want to upgrade, it will be at retail rate...

You could always sell your current device (whatever it is at the time) and put that towards the retail price of the phone. Not necessarily the ideal solution, but it's an option.
My big issue (and really the only one) is the lack of removing the battery. with all the ROM flashing i do ive been bootlooped before and have flashed on unstable ROMS onto my og droid..whats the easiest go to solution? battery pull!! not being able to do that turned me away from this phone in a heartbeat! sucks because this would be a beast of a phone if not for that single issue :/
OMG!! Another Bionic vs Razr thread?? Really?!?!? Tell me this ain't really happening!!
My rumored phone's rumored specs can beat up your rumored phone's rumored specs
