What does this fix exactly?
I don't think anyone knows for sure yet. There are more and more people installing it, but as of this morning I've not read if it definitely fixes the 3G issue. It does replace the Radio and the Kernel as I understand it. I'm sure more and more feedback about it will be forthcoming.
The main problem right now is that there is no FXR. So if you end up with a brick, I don't think there is a way to recover. But so far, I've not heard of one (of course I've not read about this stuff in about 2 hours now, so there could be one by now!! ).

Thanks guess ill wait til there is more info before attempting this on my own then.
where can you find it?
The install is very complicated and risky. As I stated if you brick it there is currently no fix. But you can find the app that will find the OTA here: *Bootloader Unlock Research* Cheesecake Clarification - xda-developers . Once you do that you have to root and then do p3droid's "forever root" hack and then install the OTA. Again, if it goes bad, there's no fix (at least there wasn't the last time I looked about 2-3 hours ago).

Ah i wont be doing that then. I remember some OTA updates released back in the OG droid days that all you simply had to do was rename it update.zip and boot into maintenance mode to install the update. Thank you for the reply![]()
