Dual notificatins for texts using handcent how to stop it?

This is a discussion on Dual notificatins for texts using handcent how to stop it? within the Motorola Droid Bionic forums, part of the Droid Bionic Forum category; So I downloaded handcent seeing everyone swears by it etc... I don't text too often but everytime I get a text i get 2 notifications ...

    Dual notificatins for texts using handcent how to stop it?

    So I downloaded handcent seeing everyone swears by it etc... I don't text too often but everytime I get a text i get 2 notifications 1 from handcent and 1 from the native text app. how do I stop the native one from bugging me as well???

    Open the stock messaging app, go to settings, and uncheck the notifications box
