I'm feeling really dumb, as I can't figure out how to shoot HD video with the bionic. I go to camcorder, settings, resolution and the highest I can go is 720x480. It's a bone stock bionic with the exception of an extended battery. What am I missing?

In the video options resolution can be set wo 1080 by scrolling to it. Slide down on the screen and 1080 is above 720.
Where you able to set this to 1080? I do not see anything above 720 also.
It's in there for me, in the drop down.
Is your Widescreen options CHECKED or not? I only see the highest of 720.
I dont have my widescreen checked.
You have to scroll the list. It's hard to find at first.
Once I touch and hold the screen to scroll I see the blue bar on the right indicating me that I am all the way up.
I had to touch the list and scroll down than back up to see the 1080p.
If you have data encryption set up on the droid 3 it doesn't allow you to record in 1080 ( clearly states that if you select data encryption). I assume its the same with the bionic. That could be the problem in your case.
