    Having/Not having issues...

Ok so, serious question here: How is it possible for such a large number of a certain type of phone to have an issue that a large number of other same phones don't? Since most issues can be fixed w/ patches, does that mean the software itself can actually screw up in shipping or something? Is it mere coincidence that others just haven't experienced certain issues yet? Does Jesus personally hand pick each person's phone and if you're getting into heaven then your phone works with any USB cable and never drops data (would explain why mine doesn't)? I just don't understand how certain people can have such major issues while others don't. The main issues on the X2 was audio skipping when multitasking/random reboots. I had 3 X2s and they each had the same problem, some worse than others. Yet, several people on forums claim to have never had these problems....how is that possible? Is it common for a bad batch of phones to ship out on release until a new patch comes out for it?

I would love some dev/techie insight onto why this happens because, like wookies living on Endor, it does not make sense.

It's been this way for every phone that comes out. It does make one wonder! Oh and last I heard, Jesus works for HTC so I dont think he has anything to do with it

I'm no expert but my guess at a few reasons why some phones have the issue and some don't is below, I'm sure the experts could add to my list:
    1. The phones do so much, it could be that the issue exists but the way someone uses it they may not notice the issue
    2. The issue could be sparked by certain applications or combinations of applications
    3. If the issue is network related, it could be caused by those who use their phones in areas where there is a weak signal or more frequent switching between 3G and 4G
    4. Hardware quality control issues in manufacture

No doubt, think of the infinite possibilities of app combinations. Impossible to test everything! On my D1 I had the Droid eye live wallpaper and it made my phone turn into a turd. I couldn't just choose another wallpaper and the problems would go away, I had to fully install it. As soon as I did, the phone was right back to normal.

It's interesting you say that because I didn't have any data drop issues until about 2 1/2 weeks when I tried downloading this auto-toggle 4g on/off widget from the market. Suddenly had these issues, immediately uninstalled, but the issue remained. Whether or not it was related I really can't say, but I seriously hadn't had a single problem until that app.

^ I know its a pain but you might factory reset to see if that fixes it.

I've considered it, but from what I've read that's only a temporary fix, if at all. With a patch in November, and since I've been using it for 2 years now, I think I'll be ok on wifi/3g for one more month. I think.
