How does everyone like there Bionic? I am due for an upgrade and leaning very much towards a Bionic. Is it easy to root? Are there good roms to run?
What don't you like about it and can you fix the issue?

You will get a little of both responses on here. Some didn't like it and are disappointed but most love it. I had my Bionic for 2 weeks but returned it only because I found that I was not using it to its fullest capabilities so it seemed like a waste of $300 (including accessory bundle and extended battery).
I figure this way I know what out I'd capable of and how it feels and after the prime or something layer comes out, I will have a true comparison to make up my mind.
It is very easy to root but there are no roms available yet.

How were you not using it to its full potential? What was included in the bundle? How much was it and the extended battery?

Booya! (This is a great phone btw!)
[ROM] UNL3ASH3D V1.3 HPSYS [BLURRY] MOTO Kernel (09/24/2011)
I am still living in a 3g area but am moving to a 4g area in a couple of months. Problem is, without 4g there is no advantage to having it. Ignore the speed and power on paper. The reality is for everyday use, the Bionic is not worth $300 over a perfectly working X.
Front facing camera... Who cares?
Dual core.. ..no noticeable difference. In fact it has been noted that when you run a quadrant speed test, only one actually runs.

Oh, you were referring to theory unleashed? How is that more show up everyday? Only one so called rom out. No offense but I was referring to a real rom that completely changes the phone. Like cyonagen, omfgb, miui, liberty, etc. The only rom you can find out right now is a stock rom with minor tweaks and debloated but you dont need a rom for that.
I am sure in due time there will be plenty available though.

Very easy to root, you would need to debloat and freeze the VZW crapware. Many of them just eat up battery on the background. Anything that requires 3D rendeing such as videocalling, games, youtube, google navigation or watching the free NFLN app means that you need an extended battery. For moderate internet browsing the standard battery should suffice.
ROMs at an early stage.
The phone is responsive and will play anything that's out there.
The call quality is exceptional as is LTE.
The screen is poor visually, very bright, it's capacitative function is very good.
Should receive lots community support.
More powerful phones with better screens and resolution, but even more questionable battery life, build quality and support than Motorola are coming, you might want to wait for 5-6 weeks to test them. Bionic would still be good and cheap. I bought because my OG Droid had become almost unusable.
I've returned mine, because of the pentile screen, and had some issues with it, but those issues don't seem to be affecting everyone.
Other than the pentile screen, the Bionic is a great phone, very decent battery life, the Blur is/has gotten a lot a better, but really not a big fan of it myself.
You might not find anything wrong with the screen, so just give it a try if ya like.
BestBuy did not charge me restocking fees when I returned mine, sooo, take it for a test drive and see if ya like it, I did![]()
