cardock nav, not quite what it should be

I remember before my D2G in the with stock rom had a my location button and a nav button, it's seems like they've tried to roll these into one press the nav button and it brings up your location, then, press the navigation button on the side of the your location screen... and INSTEAD of bringing up the nav screen that asks, type speak or whatever your destination, it brings up google maps, which then wants you to type your starting location, then your destination, then it will search... all while trying to look for direction while driving... no voice input nothing. I had to add the standalone nav app on the screen to the right of the landing car dock screen just to get to the proper nav while driving. any suggestions on how to fix this? it would be great if it worked right... sadly I couldn't find any way to get it working

You know you can just long press the Search button for voice command, and say "Navigate to 123 Main Street, Anytown, US" right?

I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be.
