09-18-2011 03:14 PM/sdcard-ext/media/audio/ringtones......place them in that directory and it'll show up as ringtones...if you do not have those folders, create them in the sdcard-ext

09-20-2011 10:48 AMPlease excuse my ignorance... I'm a new "Droid" user and this Droid 3 is driving me crazy! I've downloaded a ringtone, identified it as my preferred ringtone, and it works from my wife's cell phone, but not our home phone. When I'm called from the home phone some kind of wild tune I HATE "rings" instead of the fight song. My wife downloaded a tune for her Droid 3 and it works fine from all phones. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Please forgive my ignorance, but exactly "how" do I place ringtones in the directory you identified in your post? In other words, what steps do I follow to place my downloaded ringtone in this directory? I can't WAIT for "Droid 3 for Dummies" to become available! Or are there any other books you recommend to guide me through the use of features on this phone. The horrible so-called "User's Guide" sent with the phone is ridiculously inadequate.... Thanks so much....
