Handcent and the bionic?

I am a big fan of the stock messaging that was on my D1 - I used it for a few days on the Bionic and it seemed lack luster, I also tried Handcent for the first time in months and it would give me duplicate messages in and out - think I have finally settled on ChompSMS, now to pay the $6 to get rid of the adds and show my support

Yeah i tried handcent again and it was lagy took for ever yo send and if i locked the screen before it sent it wouldnt send either so im sticking with the stock app and im going to try chompsms see hiw that works.

If this is for real, then "The Handcent SMS application will cause duplicate SMS to be received if sent to the Motorola Bionic via <MDN>@vtext.com." is apparently not something VZW thinks should be fixed.
