Battery FAIL

So I bought 2 new batteries with a wall charger off EBay. Got the batteries and they worked fine without any flaws until my Droid2 updated, then all of a sudden I can't charge my extra batteries from the phone itself or see how much battery is left in the battery monitor on top right of phone. Is this just Verizons way to keep me from buying batteries from other places than them?? I can use the batteries, I just can't see battery life or charge from phone itself, I have to use the wall charger that came with the batteries..

Try downloading a battery app from the market.

Try battery pulls and charging. Sounds like a hardware problem.

If that fails, try backing up and then restoring.

You could also try deleting the battery-stats.bin file (I'm pretty sure that's the file name, I don't remember where it's located though) which contains the OS memory of the battery. That'll effectively reset the OS itself and may help clear it up.
