My only gripe with the camera is sometimes it doesn't respond or lags and hangs...has locked the phone on two occasions for sure.

Quality wise, for what need, the picture quality is ok. I probably don't use the correct settings and shoot modes half the time anyways.

I agree the cam on my brand new Droid2 is garbage. My Omnia took much better pictures. No matter what I do I just can't get this to take good pics. Even before the pic is taken it looks grainy and pixelated. Does Vignette really help the imaging enough that you won't see this anymore?

Vignette doesn't actually make the camera better it enhances the colors. The D2 takes great pics when the lighting is really good.
With the standard camera app it seems to take better pics in wide instead of 5mp.

I use retro camera to take pics....different color settings and effects work great....haven't had the fade problems like the normal cam, but processing requires to be at medium or high voltage if a you take a few pcitures....had it reset a few times...same with camcorder....

So I'm not the only one that has the 2 color issue in pictures? Like I posted in page 1.

My D2 also takes sub-par pics in low light. Not surprising really, given the size of the pixels on the imaging chip. But hey, if you really have to photograph something in low light, fire up that flash.

In daylight, I find the pictures to be excellent. The color anomaly almost seems like a hardware defect (?). Might be worth trying a few other camera apps to determine if it's BLUR fubaring your images or if your camera is damaged somehow.

What is the longest period you can save the 2 droids, droid because in the first you can save up to 10 minutes without stopping.

Iv never had any problems with my driod 2 camera. Its about the same as the D1 camera from what i can tell. But im not a huge fan of the camera. The camera on my BB took really nice pics. The droids can take nice pics as well. But its very touchy. Sometimes they come out very blurry if your not perfectly still. Also I was it was a little faster. Sometimes its a little slow taking pics. It could also be me and my settings tho. Haven't spent much time messing around with it
