My phone hasn't gotten the update yet. Is there a link where I can dl and force the update?
According to VZW, updates are being pushed to devices in batches. There are conflicting reports from both Motorola and other Verizon reps about if the Gingerbread OTA has actually even been "released" (as far as we know, the soak test never occurred.)
According to VZWsupport's twitter, the manual update can take 7+ days to arrive after the release is first pushed to devices.
There is no download link to force the update simply because no one has it yet (don't expect one from Verizon anyways).
Is there any particular reason why they haven't posted it on a website?
While droidforums gets to know me, here's the experience that I am here to offer: linux enthusiast for 9 years / tech support for a RDBMS for a few years / former honda-tech.com knowledge article creation and site moderator / senior [student] in mechanical engineering
Bense, a counter-question: have they ever posted any updates in downloadable form on their website? I sure don't see the .330 update available anywhere on VZW's site, for one.
