screen recorder??

alright so i came from a jailbroken ipod touch and there's an app that records everything that happens on the screen, like a screen/display recorder.. anyways to get to the point is there anything like that for android phones?

So you're trying to spy on someone you're in a relationship with? That's creepy, no matter what you suspect. Better to just ask them directly if you are concerned about dishonest behavior. If you can't do that, you probably have no business being in a relationship together anyway. You obviously don't trust each other.

Also, I don't know of such an app. Hopefully, people are avoiding the concept because of the aforementioned creepy/stalker nature of it.

I dnt know how smart your significant other is, but even if there were an app like that for android, I would immediately notice the slowdown and battery drain caused by a screen capture/recorder and try to figure out which process is causing it.

Android isnt like iOS, the user has full control and view of what goes on with the phone.

Well im not the one in the relationship, my mother is and hes not very smart with technology, and lets just say its gotten pretty bad. hes made invoices noting what she owes him (he's been saying they were all gifts) and my mom found pictures of him with nude chicks right next to pictures of our family on a disk. (theres just another example with how smart he is with tech) its for a good purpose, trust me, we are trying to catch him in a lie.

i dont want to get into all the situations my mother has caught him in. i just need to know if there is such a thing, yano? and if android gives the user the full ability to control and view the phone then why does android supposedly not have it? look not trying to start anything, no android vs ios siding, im just really trying to help my mom out

Yo, bitojoe, you don't owe these psuedo-moralists any explanations. Do what you got to do to help your mom, or whatever you're doing. Just know first that you're attempts to help may only cause worse problems. Check in the market for ShootMe. Start it up and go into it's preferences (4 square) turn it on continuous. It'll record everything that happens on screen until turned off. You'll find the file on the SD in the shootme folder. After awhile though that files going to get huge.

Excellent, I hope it serves your purpose. And ktpt, my bad, I used the word 'these' in lieu of 'that'. I'm just bothered that OP was asking for assistance in finding an app, not opinions regarding the ethical ramifications regarding the necessity of subterfuge in outing the deceptive and manipulative, and yet someone felt it necessary to offer not help, but instead disparaging judgments against anyone seeking or needing such an app. I've found this forum very useful, and feel others should be able to seek help without being belittled, regardless of subject matter.
