    Freezing fission "bloatware "

Hi everyone, I just flashed my d2g and found that serveral apps I don't need: car home, caculator, calendar. I even want replace "file" with other app which has good ui and fast speed. Can I freeze or just del them? My d2g runs Fission. I think it's ok but don't want to take the risk. Any ideas? Thanks.

I have not personally tried to do anything with them, but if they are not on the general safe list, I would be careful. These apps might tie in to other portions of apps or the OS.

If you really want to get rid of them just freeze the app or system service one by one until youre sure the phone is stable without it.

I personally have an issue with fission removing the speech to text function, and have yet to find the stock service or an app the reintegrates that

Have you installed google voice search from market after installing fission? This restores the voice to text function and ull get back the microphone icon on the on screen keyboard.

I will try. not to many of them. But I'm using two "gallary" apps. They are identical and really create some troubles.
