Can anybody lend any insight about rooting on a Mac based computer - without running a virtual instance of Windows?

So far we've not been able to figure out how. Last night I read this http://www.droidforums.net/forum/dro...tml#post777450 Box 6 seems to say it is doable.
I have a Mac but I rooted several months ago without SBF. There is a new app called EasyRoot that works on your phone so that may work.
Let us know if you decide to root and which process.

If you apply a rom or theme - backup first!
If you don't know how to backup...Stop until you do.
hint: I name my backups like this: sg6.0_20100428 or ss4.2_20100626 to easily find them later. rom and date.

I know you like to confuse the old guy of the group but the info in box 6 of the thread D1 Busted is the same as box 52 of somewhat easier.
Being a Mac user this has special interest for me. Has anyone confirmed that this process successfully roots?![]()
