    I would suggest picking up a different copy of the sbf and trying again.

    I found a different SBF file, restored to it, and now the phone isn't turning on...

    EDIT: Turned on for maybe 1/4 of a second and the bootloader loaded and said "Code corrupt" then shut back off....

    Which system version was he on and which sbf did you download? If he was on 2.3.2 and you flash a 2.2.2 sbf that would be no fun. Are you still able to get into the bootloader?

    I downloaded the 2.3.2 sbf file from TBH & MyDroidWorld Present: Droid 2 (2.3.20) Triple Threat .

    I can't get into the bootloader anymore. I think we are just going to go to the Verizon store and see if we can get a new phone.

    He's right. Getting a new phone is also, most likely, out of the question as your warranty has been voided. Hate that for you!

    Well how would they know its rooted if it doesn't even boot up? And wouldn't insurance still cover it?

    I think insurance would cover it. All they really want is their $90 but that's a touchy subject here.

    For $95, yes. How much of a charge was on the battery?
    This is why we now have locked bootloaders btw.
