Does z4root work for devour?
Did the Devour even get updated from 1.6?
Give it a try. The worst that can happen is it won't root the phone.

Available at those links in formats for all e-readers and e-reader apps, and in every major eBook store for all devices, including iOS! Just search for Subject 12.
Doubt it will work. 1.6 (Doughnut) was the only software for the Devour. Let us know if it does work though.

Alright yeah its not for me I have OG droid but my buddy has devour and wants his phone faster so I will tell him just to try it thanks for the input tho

why do you need z4 root? there is a perfectly good way of rooting the devour that works, and yes THE DEVOUR IS ROOTABLE.

it requires you to use atb which can be a little overwhelming at first but as long as you know/understand some simple command line commands and know a little bit about the linux terminal (you can do this from windows) you shouldn't have a problem... root is not the issue we need a custom rom... NOW!
