What are your experience with this? I'm currently using it and it works fine, but I'm I think 2.1 worked better
Opinions?

I'd just say make sure you get 2.3.1. After 2.3's release there was a flurry of feedback resulting in significant bug fixes and 2.3.1 was released. I didn't have any issues with 2.3, but updated anyway. Personally, I think the new version is awesome compared to the prior. Lots of little stuff in there I really like.
Where do I get the updated version from?

Puzzles me as to what 2.3.1 would offer over current version?

(New for 2.3.1)
- Big bugfixes
- Better support for landscape mode
- better support for ldpi devices

I'm not sure what he started out intending to fix. Apparently a lot of folks were starting to revert from 2.2.x to 2.1 because of the boot/widget bug that was introduced in 2.2. That's one of the things fixed in 2.3. In any event, it sounds like once he got in there he decided that an overhaul was needed.
