Please keep a friendly attitude in this thread. i assure you the call slide is fixed. everyone have a nice day. thanks
Just to be clear, that lag issue you mention is not technically a problem with the kernel, it's a problem with how a setting of 125/125 in SetCPU makes it behave. When a call comes in, several things need to happen, including turning on the screen, calling the media player for the ringtone, playing the ringtone itself, triggering the notification, etc. With a setting of 125/125, the phone has to try to do all of this while running at the lowest possible setting.
You did the right thing by changing the setting as you did-that allows the phone to ramp up the CPU to handle all of this effectively.
SetCPU has a lot more features than the original that allow you to get even more control over the phone through things like priority profiles, but as a result the complexity is also a bit higher.
To really get a full understanding of the software and all of the functions, read this thread:
While understanding "How" may get the job done, understanding "Why" will get the job done properly.
I can't get over my battery life..like when I was running kangerade it was at best 8 hours now I don't even know how long...I get home from work at 6:30 in the morning and it had been unpluged since 11am the previous day..and I used it pretty much the whole time and the battery is at 40% wtf
Phone: Motorola Droid
ROM: CM nightlys
Theme: Bennys GB theme with Miui animation hack
best ROM i've used to date
only bug I've found thus far is the slider glitch, but that just appears to be graphical. everything else works GREAT and my battery life is STUPID AWESOME.
thank you to everyone involved in this project.. you guys rock!
So I just installed red glass theme and was going to attempted a kernel but before hand I wanted to make a back up using SPRecovery....when I go to simple nandroid backup it starts and stays on attemping nandroid default backup. Is this just because the file was so big or is there a problem.
its been saying it for about 15 min and still has not done anything...tried it again and same result...????
After starting out on a JRummy Remix back when I first rooted, and having gone over to Bugless Beast for awhile...I've found my way back to JRummy's work...I just couldnt stay away.
