Does anyone notice how hot their phone gets? When I was using Liquid I noticed after just a few minutes of use the temp was over 100 degrees and rising. On hexen it isn't nearly as hot. That could possibly explain poor battery life.

Yep. During use (with profiles set to slow down if phone reaches 100 degrees) I experienced temperatures of 100+ degrees and rising even with my slower profile going. Hottest it's gotten is 106. And it's just standard web browsing and droid forums app use. Maybe I'll try a new kernel, but this Chevy kernel has been perfect for my phone on every other ROM

Tell me how it goes. Mine does get warm. If a better kernel will make the heat problem better then I will try it as well.

Great Rom.. I am using it on my D2G with no problems but was wondering when you will be upgrading to the Gingerbread 4.5.608 Base ?

So I've recently learned that with the Verizon Gingerbread push to Droid 2's they added a "feature" to block wireless tethering. When you try to wireless tether it takes you directly to the verizon page to purchase the hot spot service. Is this a feature that liquid removed from Gingerbread then so that if I install 3.0 I'll still be able to wireless tether?On another note, does anyone know how they do this or better yet how to disable it?Thanks!

Ugh...even worse today...sitting in pocket when I actually feel my leg begin to burn. It was idling at 112 degrees. Its been off the charger for an hour with 4 minutes screen time and I've lost 20%...I love this ROM, but I just can't have this...

Just wanted to add a side note, I nandroided and tried the newest Chevy ROM out for a day and came back to Liquid. I am a huge fan of both devs and love all the hard work your teams put in to building such great ROMs. Also my wife finally allowed me to root her phone after a whole year of begging and explaining. Liquid 3.0 was worthy enough for me to put on her phone!

Ok. Just flashed a new kernel. It's working much better. Still runs hotter than other ROMs, but it's a huge improvement. I was running Chevy's 7 slot 1 GHz ULV (worked fine on previous liquid builds and other ROMs). Now I'm running Chevy's 7 slot 800 MHz kernel. We'll see how this goes.

Still loving this rom, and it just plain works like its supposed to while lookin' great. I've had a few quirks, but nothing serious enough for me not to use this as a daily rom. Always snappy. I did add the v8 supercharger and I think the two work great together. Thanks for the hard work dev's! Very much appreciated
