    Installation Via ROM Manager

I noticed in the downloads it says not to wipe the Dalvic Cache or you will be stuck at M. When I switched from CM7 I downloaded and installed from the site and wiped the cache. I was wondering if it would only get stuck when installing via ROM Manager, if I lucked out, or is there is some other information?

I've never heard that it will cause you to be stuck if you wipe that. I have always been told to wipe everything in order to avoid bootloops.

I tried installing through ROM Manager and didn't see that it said that and wiped everything and it wouldn't get past the 'M'. I had to go to a backup and try again this time without clearing Dalvik and went through fine.

It does say not to wipe dalvic cache in RM, maybe it is something with RM, I always wipe/format everything including dalvic cache & have never gotten stuck (knock on wood) but I never use RM to do the flash, I use CWM Recovery but not RM.

+1 on this,I also dwnld from the site and I use rzrecovery. The only thing I use rom manager for is to fix permissions, about all rm is good for imho.
