Google Talk 1.3 with Video

Are there any plans to add Google Talk 1.3 with Video to Liquid? I flashed Google Talk 1.3 with Video on my Droid but have been unable to successfully flash the Google Apps pack on 2.3.4. This is needed so others can initiate video or voice calls with me.

Google Talk with video does work on the Droid.

How did u "flash" it to your droid? did u just try to instal the apk itself, or did you use something like root explorer & pull it from the gapps & move it to you system/data folder & re-set the permissions? but u said it didnt work did it?

My two cents... you will probably need a modded gtalk for what you are looking for. Kind of like the one for MIUI. This is because gtalk for 2.3.4, was never suppose to run on a Droid.

The GTalk works fine on the Droid. Its the Google Apps pack which is required so others can initiate video and voice which does not work properly. It actually does allow others to initiate voice and video but causes inconsistent Google Talk and Gmail synching.

As it stands right now, I do not have the apps pack installed so others can not initiate with me but I can initiate voice and video just fine.

Hello everyone, reading this thread got me curious so I went scouring around xda a bit and finally got gtalk with voice and video working on my phone.
First off I'm running:
- Phone: Moto Droid 1
- ROM: LGB 1.92
- Kernel: ChevyNo1 lv, 7 slot, 1.1

Follow this link [APP][ROOT] Google Talk 1.3 with Video calling, Now wifi optional! - xda-developers.
In option 2 of the OP there's a download link labeled Alternate3 (I also tried installing only the google talk using the files attached to the OP but they didn't work, one way video only), that's the full google apps package from 05/03, flash it (I recommend wiping dalvik cache, I did).
After doing so I lost my gmail app, so I downloaded it from market and it was FCing on me. Uninstalled it, redownloaded it and all good.

Results from google talk:
- Test ran using wifi, I'm outside the country right now so I can't test using 3G.
- Phone can initiate both voice and video calls.
- PC can initiate both voice and video calls.
- Text chats works fine.

Other gapps:
- GVoice works well (all I use it for is voicemail).
- Gmail works well (after installing, uninstalling, and installing again).
- Market went back to stock (was running themed prior to flash) but works fine.

Let us know how your Gmail and GTalk sync is going after a few days. If everything is fine, I'll give your process a try.

Not sure what is being said to work or not work with the stock Talk2 v1.3 from 2.3.4, but I have tested the stock version and it does work without any edits to the libtalk file......incoming video works with droids camera as the outgoing vid source....so when you see them they can't see you, and when they see you you can't see them, lol...

Incoming video wasn't that smooth but outgoing was decent.
