Try switching to one of chevyno1's kernel, that's what fixed it for me!

I am also having the skipping problem when I try to watch video or play music. I am new to custom ROMS and don't know anything about Kernels, do you just DL and run them or does the phone have to be flashed all over again like when you install a ROM?
You'll download the kernel of your choice, reboot into revovery and intall the zip file (just like you would a rom).
2 things I would suggest. First, While I recovery make a backup---it never hurts to have one.
The other, I would start with chevys latest kernels. They have always played real nice with my phone. Yours might be different so try a bunch until you find the best for yours.
    Hope it helps.. enjoy

Ok so is a Kernel like a add on to the ROM? Can it be removed without disturbing the ROM?

Remove and run without a kernel no, but you can Reflash a different kernelwithout issues to see which works best with your individual hardware. I wipe cache and dalvik 2-3 tines regardless if necessary, I don't mind a long first boot.

Ok so if I flash to one of Chevy's kernels and it does funny things can I just recover to liquids kernel as long as I back up everything first?

I was having some of the same problems as others slow opening of unlock screen, sluggish etc but just switched to the 900 lv Chevy and everything us much snappier and running smooth. I also did a fix permissions from the liquid tweaks. Worth a try!

So far for me everything is running pretty smooth um I haven't had a lot of the overheating in such once I changed kernels and my maps works fine the only thing I notice with the maps is the volume control on navigation I cannot I change anywhere. I tried to system settings change in the ringer volume the media volume and the alarm volume all of them are not working with the navigation system sounds or set a speech. Media or navigation sounds use to be a altered with the volume control button while speech was happening but now I don't have that option.

Well i had my first major problem today (with 1.92 that is). I was expecting a call to hear my sister is having her baby today and finally when the call came the phone gave me nothing but problems...

I first tried to swipe to answer the call as usual, then it stutters for a second (not the wake up time, after swiping), then only goes into speaker mode, and no one can hear anything i say but i can hear them. This happens for roughly 5-10 seconds then the phone actually froze totally, i actually had to do a battery pull to get it back.

Then after the reboot i called out and everything worked fine, soon after i received another call (with the same news of the baby) and i get the exact same results, speaker, stuttering, then the FC of the android.phone process ultimately resulting in another battery pull.

After another reboot i have received 2 or so more calls that have been fine. Not sure what the problem is or was, but how do you troubleshoot a problem like this? I dont mind having all the extra features we have nowadays, but I do still need to use my phone as a phone from time to time...
