Horrible battery life after......
......installing LGB 1.9. I am not blaming the ROM just stating what I noticed. I am trying to upload a pic, but can't. Anyways at 50% battery life after 5 hours and 3 minutes. Looking at battery usage the display was at 50%. The best/lowest display I have ever seen was back on LGB 1.5, the battery life was awesome back on 1.5 - ove424 hours on 1 charge. So is there a setting change or something I can do?

Check your battery usage in the settings. If it is android os then, download OSmonitor (free) and see what is using your cpu.
I had a D2 rom that was setting off ksoftirqd. If that is what is using yours you will need to switch roms.

Also try reset battery stats. I have started doing as part of every rom reflash and have had much better results regardless of the kernel.

My battery life was bad right after flashing, but Market was trying to restore all the apps.
But I agree with what is stated above....I always wipe stats right after putting on a ROM (after making sure the phone is fully charged, of course). I keep hearing that the flashing of a new ROM can mess up/purge the stats, anyway, so wiping the stats is the way to go.
Of course, there could be another cause. ROMs don't act the same on every single Droid...

Remember guys, only wipe stats when you're charged 100%.

2 screen shots of battery usage
Ok, I have 2 screen shots. The first one is the screen shot taken just before making this topic on the forum. I was at 50% overall battery life remaining. As you can see by the pic the display is taking up 50% of usage.

Based on a suggestion I fully charged my device and then wiped the battery stats. I then let the phone be idle. This morning I checked the battery life and it showed 60%. Here is the battery usage screen shot after 7+ hours.

I will be on the road and most of today, so I will be switching back to 1.7 so my battery can last longer than a few hours. I will implement 1.9 back on the phone after reading your replies.
Thanks in advance!

That phone standby is higher than my wife's Eris.

How do you reset battery stats?
-
Yes I also have a high cell standby. This is using battery as a result of signal searching.
It is around 32 %, too high I believe it should be down towards 10 to low teens.
Just flashed chevys kernel to see if it helps.
I already updated by *228.
Keep auto dim off and manually adjust.
Display will always be top battery zapper for it needs to be on all the time phone is use.

Ok, I would actually pay more attention to & monitor the other Device catagory.
After charging your phone 100, reboot your phone, soon as it finishes rebooting unplug your droid & then use it as you normally would over the next 5-8 hours (assuming the battery will last that long) & try to make sure your droid spends at least half of that time sleeping, screen off, then....
Go into: settings-liquid settings-device-history.
Make sure the second drop down menu from the top is on "since last unplugged"
Now in the drop down menu at the top first lets check the "other usage"
The two main things in here ww want to compare is: "running" & "screen on" compare the % of the two, if the running is showing unusually high, compared to the screen on then thats a def sign of a problem, if its unusually high, that means your phone is not effeciently going into "sleep" state.
Next in the top drop down menu, change it to "partial wake usage" in here one of the main things to look at is "android system" again if that is unusually high thats a sign of a problem.
Next change the drop down menu to "cpu" usage & review the items in there, if there are any that arw unusually high that should not be...
To get an accurate idea, on the "running" & "android system" its important that your droid spends a decent amount of time sleeping, then when reviewing these youll have to use your judgment if the readings seems right based on only u will know how much u used your droid..
