Lol... I knew whatcha meant... I don't do PayPal for now.. never needed money cause I do all this for myself and my love for theming...and then release it to the public ... and I don't think the theme Chooser will support a full on Transparent theme since a lot of layouts and manifests get touched... could be wrong tho...

Yeah, I had a crazy day @ work...I bet if I sounded this way all day, I may have confused some concepts as well..uh oh...lol Nah..I have been very silly headed lately and its all due to my limited amount of sleep..lol And yes I know..Put the phone down..haha...But yeah, I figured your passion prolly overides all..I understand...but in the mean time...THANKS BRO!!! Go check out our newest Droidforums app in the Droid themeing section.. it has the option to switch from Inverted and Transparent from within the app itself now... I rewrote a lot of code and edited 20 smalis so its 100% complete now....

Is it just me or are themes like this (update.zip) becoming more and more rare? I'm guessing because the theme chooser app themes are getting better and better (running one right now lol) I'm thinking these type themes are basically going to become add ons for theme chooser themes to bypass the limitations of theme chooser?
Sorry for being off topic but I was curious for other peoples opinions lol

As of now I do like the update.zip type theme as they can be much more fully themed then theme chooser but at the same time, theme chooser plus metamorphs are like you said getting closer to matching the quality of the update.zip type themes. It all comes down to how many different things I can make look the same. Like right now I'm running an ics theme chooser theme with and ics icon pack and the newest widgetlocker with all the ics theme components and it is as fully themed as any update.zip.

Theme Chooser apks are only on some aosp cm based roms... and there are a lot of roms that either aren't that or they don't have the theme Chooser built in so no, I dont think update.zips will ever stop... I don't do the theme Chooser for now and don't plan it... I haven't seen a theme Chooser that makes everything transparent yet.. if a layout is needed to be edited then only an update.zip or metamorph can do it and a lot of system apks aren't universal so the themer would have to make 50 different metamorphs.... to each his own but my downloads on my themes are still high and I have 10+ inverted and transparent apps to match that kill it on downloads.... so I guess we'll see....

Don't get me wrong, I think update.zip themes are still the way to go but I do feel like they are on the decline. Your themes are badass and I do like the new transparent look but I like to switch around so much that the theme chooser is just convenient. However one of the main things I look for is the added metamorph so that I can have all the other little things themed that the theme chooser can't touch.

Yup, convenience often wins against true quality. Hence the popularity of theme chooser. Its also nice being able to apply the exact same theme over many different roms. For example I can make simply stunning look exactly the same as liquid rom.
Don't get me wrong if there was an update.zip theme I really liked I'd definitely use it but the flexibility of theme chooser makes it easy to find something you like and apply it to most any rom.
However there always is the problem with apps not being themed but the apps I use most are themed versions anyway (like the cool new Droid forums app and I even keep the old themed Facebook app
