About LinkBacksWhen you go to sleep, put it on airplane mode.
I usually charge it at night. Another thing that will improve battery is clearing your batt stats.
Post note: I am using an extended battery.

04-12-2011 04:13 PMI typically go through 10% of battery every 2 hours with approximately 10 minutes or use. This seems pretty bad to me. I don't overclock my phone or have gps/wifi on. I tried using Droid Overclock once going between 300-1.2ghz but that brought it down to 10% every hour even if I didn't use it.
Oh, and btw, I have the extended battery from Motorola. It's even worse with the regular battery.Droid. Rooted. Joy. -

04-12-2011 04:55 PMI wouldn't say this was "heavy" use but I was definitely trying to kill it....but I was also at work for 12 of those hours so I was a bit limited.

04-12-2011 08:06 PMThat is insane. I probably get about 14 hours out of the extended battery on GB. I would say I am an average user too. I wish I could get that battery life.

04-12-2011 08:21 PMOk...now that we are on the airplane mode subject. I just went on two trips and while on the plane I had my X in airplane mode(obviously). All I did was listen to music and my battery drained exponentially. I listen to music a lot so I know how normal use drains the battery. I posted this in another thread but got no replies. Can someone explain why my battery is getting drained in APM?

04-12-2011 08:25 PMBecause everything else is still working (apps etc), the only thing that changes is it isnt using data. Listening to music will also drain your battery pretty fast by itself if you use it for more than a few minutes at a time. I used to use my phone instead of my ipod but i had to go back to my ipod because my phone would barely last through school.

04-12-2011 08:51 PMNot like this though. I'm talking CrAzY dRaIn. Anyway, I think I just figured out what could be draining it in APM. I suspect that Rhapsody's service continues to ping it's servers in offline mode. This may explain moderate battery drain when at home and high drain in APM.
