I was having way too many reboots with 1.5 si I decided to go back to 1.0. I did a Maderstock, rooted, and followed directions to install liberty 1.0 (mounted system etc.)
Now my phone when booting just sticks at the spinning eagle.
What do I do?

did you clear all caches? I know many of the issues in liberty 1.5 can be fixed by clearing all caches, including dalvic (advanced menu of bootstrap app)
After a battery pull, power on the phone and hold the home button until
the android with the triangle appears. Then press the search button to get
into the stock recovery. From there you need to do a factory reset/wipe data.
a reboot from there should get you into liberty. After that, i would reinstall liberty MAKING SURE TO "WIPE DATA/FACTORY RESET" before installing zip from sdcard.
made the same mistake more than once myself!!!
el_ote's droid X -Rooted, ROM'd, on Gingerbreadoverclock'd w/ droid overclock
Do a battery pull. Then just press power it will take u to cw recovery. No need factory recovery
