    How to install Zip

Droid Den - Android: TallMin Icon Set - Droid Den

Oops, didn't mean to post this.

but.... So I'm trying to install Tall Min. I'm not sure how, and the guides I find online just assume you know what you are doing. I'm pretty familiar with rooting and such, I have Liberty 2.0 and customs themes, and so on. But it's not really clear to me how to install these zip files. I know how to install zip from SD, but I don't know if that's what I should be doing here. Suddenly, apparently, I need a bunch of apps like launcherpro and bettercut and I'm just kind of confused :X

Use Launcher Pro Plus or ADW EX Launcher and you can change the dock icons with them. Just unzip the file using 7-zip or WinRAR, on your PC, and then make a folder on your SD Card (something like CustomIcons) with another folder inside that folder and name it TallMin as the folder name (just in case you decide to find more icons and want to use other icons so make another folder keeping them separate so you know which is which).

Then on the dock just long-press one of the icons and click on Change Icon or whatever it says. Then go to the folder housing the CustomIcons and pick the right icons for that app.

If you want to put it on the screen, use something like Desktop Visualizer (you can find that on the Android Market). Once you've downloaded and installed it long-press your screen, click Widgets, click Desktop Visualizer and pick out a size. I usually use Small or 1x1 for icons, unless you're using something like WP7 icons where it has to stretch more than 1x1.

Once on Desktop Visualizer and clicking 1x1, you'll see a green border icon with an Android in the middle and a mechanical wheel on it. Click that icon, it'll bring up the settings, click the first one, and again go to the folder housing your Custom Icons and pick out an icon, then on the next option you'll have to click an Activity for your icon to open. So let's say you pick Angry Bird text icon, on the Activity part, you'll need to locate the Angry Bird and click that. Once done, you'll have a couple options left for the text name of the app to appear on the bottom of that icon, I would click on the button saying Black and pick Transparent. Then the last option is the press highlight option. You can pick any color given for that.
Funny how some people complain more than my 2 year old daughter does.
