I knew there was trouble with mount points, but I wasn't sure with what ROM. I didn't think Miller was gonna touch CM10 till him and Flavor had the ICS build working. Then he would port CM10? Either way..I'll test anything for them, if things go wrong I have the factory .cab and a backup. If my screen flips and the factory .cab doesn't fix it.....I'll just have to make a trip to a particular place and play dumb..

Unfortunately, the CAB file does not repair the touch screen issue. The last ROM I tested did not boot. It did install but would not boot. I was however able to the TOT file from the CAB. The TOT file is the NAND image for phones. There is a dev that was able open up the TOT. I was in the middle of compiling his app when my work account took a dump and I had to reboot everything. As soon I am free tonight, I will compile this tool, or get a copy to crack the TOT file. This will give the needed info to Miller on how everything is setup on this phone. Bad news is that I am probably getting a S3 this Friday, and give my wife this phone. I will continue to help as much as I can.
Thanks for all your work and help. Leaving us for the dark side huh.......well the day I got this my sis got a GS3, and yeah that extra RAM is nice, but I thought it felt cheap and the screen is not as nice and as bright. But hey..good luck with that. Hopefully you can get Miller what he needs. Again, Thanks.

But the dark side is fun especially I'm getting a 32gb for $285 with 4 cases and a 64GB card.
Yeah....that's a damn good deal....that the quad core model?
I might should have waited for the GS4 to launch. That will bottom out the cost of the GS3 big time, but it was hard to pass on this phone for $24.

Unfortunately, it's the VZW version. Dual core only. Still happy about it.

Has there been any progress on custom ROMs or has developement come to a road block?
Alright... we are getting very close to cracking this phone. First off, layvin, thanks for the post on XDA. If you haven't guessed, i'm h4ckers on there.
Anyways, with all the testing I have done on my working phone (broken one went back to Asurion), the ROMS that I have been testing from Miller is not causing the screen issue. And I have been able to restore my nandroid with no issues. I have one more day with this phone and off to the S3 land I go. My wife is getting my Spec 2 and has already told me "!@#$!@#$!@$" if I keep testing 'her' phone. There is no worries in testing these ROMS. I know that some of guys are worried about bricking your phones. Although flashing a phone always carries a risk, the locked bootloader will protect you. If you want proof, look at the Rezound forum at XDA when Chad0989 bricked his Rezound. The bootloader was unlocked and the vold.fstab destroyed his partition. I forgot who flashed the same test ROM with a locked bootloader and they were fine. The CAB file will restore your phone as long as you can access the download mode, which again, is protected by the locked bootloader.
And I do want to give a HUGE THANKS to Miller. He has helped me understand a lot more with deving and understanding this issue. I am going to keep helping as much as I can and flash his Touch Sense ROM when I get my S3 to support him.
