    GIF image not working

    I received a MMS text message which includes an animated GIF image. I opened the message, but the GIF image didn't animate. I saved the message to my SD card and opened it and still no animation, then I sent it to my Gmail and opened my Gmail on my phone, but still no animation. I checked my Gmail on laptop and finally saw the animation. Does anyone know why GIF image not working on my phone? BTW I am using ChompSMS for text messaging.

    Any help?

    Animated gifs are only supported on android 2.2 and up...and even then, only if the phone has enough horsepower to support it. There may be a workaround with some SMS clients where it simulates an animated gif...maybe try handcent?
